Hello Mr. BBC...

by, the alex

Adorable? yes. Here is a very very tired Tyler on our day off. On monday we went to London to see a show and visit the National Gallery. The day was a total success.

First off, we found a suit for tyler. I haven't reported on here what an awful chore it has been thus far to find this thing. It is beautiful. I will take a photo soon, when the costume is fully accumulated. The suit is linen, with a light light blue shirt, suspenders, a deep red tie and tyler got his hair cut. He looks like a southern gent if I have ever seen one... it is exactly what James and I imagined. The suit cost a pretty penny, but to be rid of the search, and for a character that is on stage the whole play to look so ideal... o, it was worth every penny. Thank you Tami for you help!

London... we decided to see Hedda Gabler, it was above average, as a London show should be, but we were a little disappointed with it. More about this later. First.... THE NATIONAL GALLERY.

I kid you not, this thing was incredible, do you want to see how incredible it was?
sorry, you are going to have to turn your head to see the incrediblenessss. I don't know how to rotate this on here.

Let me just recap all of the paintings I saw, because I couldn't take photos in there, because that is just the way that incredible galleries are.

the most stunning:
this one,
and the mostest stunning for us was
it is so beautiful, and it instantly confronts you with the reality that those are da vinci's scribbles and charcoal strokes. It is really moving and spiritual. I love how galleries feel like cathedrals so quiet and alive. It was really spiritual for me to actually SEE so many of the paintings I have read about and seen in books for years. It was odd though, knowing such specific things about pieces of art that I had never really encountered before in the actual flesh. It got me thinking about the art books that I emerce myself in from time to time. What if yesterday was the first time I saw this sketch? What would it do to me then?

To browse through the other things we saw, go here... to the National Gallery's Official Page. It is really well done.

ok, more photos.
Aaron (far left) and Tyler(far right) china town on the edge of Piccadilly and soho
the stage for Hedda Gabbler ... shush... we didnt take this. ;)
ok, so after waiting and waiting for David Schwimer to leave his stupid stage door after his show, we gave up and being good theatre people.... Acted like he was coming though the door. This is Aaron and Tyler at the moment he emerged. It was electric!
he then asked us to drinks. Tyler thought it was because David wanted to be our friend. But it was really because.....
he totally wanted me... But I told him no. No worries.
one last photo of London, and I am sleeeeeepy. Off to bed. Hope all is well back home.

Oh and by the way... the BBC is doing a documentary on some plays in the fringe... and are courting us for interviews and a little bit in their work. What?!? We also have presales on tickets. What?!? What??

I leave you with this.
***thanks for the help sunshine friends. It was so nice of you all to help. I regret to tell you all that there is no warranty man part available in the show. I am sorry to type cast you Scott, but you had to have known with a breakthough role like that, it was bound to happen. Niki, I assume you took these photos. Im sorry. Did you cry afterward or just really need a cleansing shower? ***

No benches ... ... ... yet.

Cheers friends,
alex

Safe and sound...

We went to London yesterday to see what we could see. We found a linin suit for under a hundred pounds, saw Davinci at the National Gallery, and even watched Hedda Gabler shoot herself on stage. No worries though, we didn't take the tube and nobody was blown up.

cheers,
tyler
